Hi, I am Ishana. I am an Indian who grew up across Australia, India, England, Russia and the US! I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in International Business from Georgetown University in Washington DC and started my career in New York City. 

In my professional life, I currently work at an International School in Singapore. I have been a recruiter for the majority of my career – initially in New York and Hong Kong as a financial services recruiter and most recently as a technology recruiter in South East Asia with Netflix. I have also been an entreprenuer as a founder of Label Ishana – a sustainable clothing line founded in Calcutta, India. 

In my personal life, I am a mother of two beautiful boys – Karanveer & Kairaan, and I am constantly learning on the job. I am amazed by the resilience our daily life teaches us and the wonder and courage that my children have brought into my life. 

I love yoga, a good walk in nature and have recently started running. Given how I grew up a little bit everywhere, I tend to get restless and so I love to travel either to new places or just “home” to Calcutta or Melbourne. I love my home and dining table filled with friends and family, beautiful chaos and yummy food. I love a good book, a bit of rain and some chai for company. Most of all, I love a good story, especially the stories of people and their lives.
